Dirty Nights (Part Three) - Emerson St. Clair

This is the final installment of a three part series. If you read the first two, you should know that this series is not a lighthearted romance. It is tough and gritty, filled with intense subject matter.

Secrets. Lies. Truths that wouldn’t stay buried.

Ryder...
She came clean with me. I chose to stay. But I never trusted her with my own past. There are still lies between us. And she’ll hate me if she ever finds out.

Skylina...
He loves me despite my ugly past. But will that love be crushed under the weight of his family’s rejection? Was fate really doom in disguise?

**Warning—explicit sexual content**

I have finally read the last instalment in the massive best seller (to me). I loved Ryder and the way he ended up coming clean about his past. I loved Skylina's passion for her dancing, her man Ryder and he job.

Dirty Nights (Part Two) - Emerson St Clair

Dirty Nights Part Two... the serial continues.

This is the second installment of a three part erotic romance novella series and is not your average lighthearted romance so if you do NOT like tough and gritty stories, this is NOT for you. Part Three will be released April 22.

Two broken people... Extraordinary circumstances... Pasts that threaten to tear them apart.

Ryder…
There’s only one thing I want now. Skylina. She’s under my skin. In all of my thoughts. And she’s a hooker. A damn prostitute. What the hell am I supposed to do with that?

Skylina...
He’s everything I could ever want in a man. I’m everything he doesn’t need in a woman. If he ever finds out the truth, he’ll run. And I won’t chase him. I can’t. And he can never know why.

Will Ryder accept Skylina the way she is? Will Skylina take the steps to get her get her life in order so she can move forward with Ryder? Or will her life as a prostitute shatter her chance at happiness with him? Find out what happens in Dirty Nights Part Two.

**Warning—explicit sexual content**

I started this straight after I read Part One. It carries on with the story from Ryder and Skylina. They have started a sexual relationship and Ryder is about to find out what Skylina does for a living. Meets her dad and her mom. She has no idea what he is like, just that he was a drug addict and he now goes to school.

I found this even more intriguing as the story carries on. I really want Ryder to open up to her and admit what and who he is. I think it might help her in the new career she is wanting to follow. Can't wait to finish their journey in book Three.

Dirty Nights (Part One) - Emerson St Clair

This is a Part One of a three part contemporary erotic romance novella series. Part Two will be released on April 15.

If you like your romances light and sweet, this is NOT for you. If you DON'T like your romances tough, gritty, this is NOT for you. Just sayin...

Skylina...
Her story is not pretty. Discarded like trash by her father. Forced into prostitution by her mother. Used and abused, she learns to cope. And survives. Because she has to. What other choice is there?

Ryder...
His story is every bit as ugly. Beaten and left for dead. A star whose light was extinguished long before it should have been. Now a he’s drug addict, wrestling with the demons that try to destroy him.

Their paths should never have crossed. But they did. Will they be able to keep their dark and shameful secrets hidden from each other?

*Not for younger readers due to mature content.

When I was bought this book, I was like yeah I love this writer as I've read her previous books (Contemporary Romance, Sci-Fi YA).

I loved Ryder's way of dealing with stuff and the way Skylina deals with her crap and still carries on. I hate her mother with the drugs and prostitution, but can't wait to see what happens next with these two in the next part of this wonderful seedy sequel.

Exquisite Betrayal - A.M. Hargrove

A male Romance Author… a convention in Vegas… a female book blogger… a goal to lose her virginity… what next? Find out when you mix all the above!

Fallon McKinley is headed to Vegas for the Wicked Wenches Romance Con and losing her virginity is only one of her goals. The other is to meet her favorite author of romance novels, R.T. Sinclair. What she doesn’t realize is that the sexy green-eyed god she rams into at the airport is the real R.T. When they keep running into each other, she’s shocked, but excited, because the attraction is irresistible.

Ryland Thomas Sinclair doesn’t want anyone to know his true identity. He’s the author that all women love, but everyone thinks he’s a female. He hides his persona behind the public face of his twin sister, keeping his own a secret. But after meeting the lovely Fallon, his intentions to avoid a relationship come to a screeching halt. She’s put an unwanted kink into his perfectly laid out plans. His unusual reaction surprises him because after a heart-shredding breakup a few years ago, he’s managed to avoid women at all costs.

Resisting Fallon becomes more difficult than he imagines. Soon things are spiraling out of control, until a major miscommunication has Fallon walking out of his home and his life. Will Ryland Thomas succeed in losing the woman he loves? Or can he win her back?

I was given this to read by the author a while ago.

It was meant to be a kind of love story, but to me it was more than that. It was about relationships that can go wrong with vindictive people who are only out for what they can get. I disliked Ruth due to her nastiness. Fallon's mother was a spiteful woman who always puts her down. I LOVE Ryland and Tilly to pieces. Love Fallon and her nature.

I think A.M. Hargrove has hit it on the nail with this wonderful and intriguing book. It had me in tears 2 nights ago and I was like wow where did that come from.

Daughter - Jane Shemilt

How well do you really know those you love?

Jenny loves her three teenage children and her husband, Ted, a celebrated neurosurgeon. She loves the way that, as a family, they always know each other's problems and don't keep secrets from each other.

But when her youngest child, fifteen-year-old Naomi, doesn't come home after her school play and a nationwide search for her begins, secrets previously kept from Jenny are revealed.

Naomi has vanished, leaving her family broken and her mother desperately searching for answers. But the traces Naomi's left behind reveal a very different girl to the one Jenny thought she'd raised. And the more she looks the more she learns that everyone she trusted has been keeping secrets.

How well does she really know her sons, her husband? How well did she know Naomi? If Jenny is going to find her, she'll have to first uncover the truth about the daughter she thought told her everything.

I was asked to review this for Netgalley. When I was given a copy and read the synopsis, I was like yeah I can read this as this is my sort of book.

I am afraid it was too slow for me to read. I couldn't get into where the characters was going. I was going back and forth with the story between a year difference. Without giving the storyline away, I just wasn't sure who did what or what was happening between the two years that it was jumping between.
