17th Suspect (Women's Murder Club #17) by James Patterson & Maxine Paetro

In this #1 NYT bestseller, Sergeant Lindsay Boxer puts her life on the line to protect San Francisco from a shrewd and unpredictable killer.
When a series of shootings exposes San Francisco to a mysterious killer, a reluctant woman decides to put her trust in Sergeant Lindsay Boxer. The confidential informant's tip leads Lindsay to a disturbing conclusion: something has gone horribly wrong inside the police department.
The hunt for the killer lures Lindsay out of her jurisdiction and impacts her in dangerous ways. She suffers unsettling medical symptoms, and her friends in the Women's Murder Club warn her against taking the crimes to heart. But with lives at stake, the detective can't help but follow the case into terrifying terrain.
A decorated officer, loving wife, devoted mother, and loyal friend, Lindsay has always acted with unwavering integrity. But now she is confronting a killer who is determined to undermine it all.

I've read the previous Women's Murder Club series, so when this 1 came up, I jumped on the chance to read. Unfortunately it took me til a couple of days ago to pick it up as life got in the way lol. But as usual James Patterson & Maxine Paetro has done it again with how the book smoothes over stuff. BUT I will agree with others that the court room episodes went on for most of the book, I think it should of concentrated on both parts as you could get lost in the story and what way the characters was going.

In my opinion, I would definitely carry on reading the series as I want to know what happens with the Women's Murder Club.

Sapphire: The Romantic Heist of the Century (Colors of Crime #1) by Sophie Lark

Will She Choose The Thief, The Detective, Or The Sapphire?

Lex Moore is a thief and a heart-breaker. She takes whatever she wants from men, especially when it’s expensive…

She picked the wrong target in Detective Byron Black. He’ll hunt her down, to make her pay for destroying his career and stealing his heart..

Luca Diotallevi is in deep with the Italian Mafia. He’s got to pull off an impossible heist, but Lex keeps getting in his way. He can’t let her take the sapphire, but he also can’t keep his hands off her…

Will Lex submit to the detective that chased her across the world? Or will she choose the one thief she can’t outwit?

“Sapphire” is a romantic thriller with a blazing hot love triangle, and twists and turns that will keep you guessing all the way up to the end. It’s Book 1 of the Colors of Crime series — a standalone novel complete with HEA, no cheating, and no cliffhangers. Includes steamy scenes intended for mature readers only.

This was something entirely different for me as I've never read much Romance Suspense books (not sure why as I enjoyed this book). The characters was believable and also loved how you get to see who is who. No one knew where the opening was going to lead. You'd have thought from the title that Sapphire was a woman, but oh no it's something much more than that. You get to meet Luca Diotallevi, a thief who is about to rob the Romanov Cross for his boss, you get to meet Lex (Alexa) another thief who has stolen other artifacts in the past and men's hearts and is about to steal the Romanov Cross as well, you also get to meet the man behind the reason why Lex is running away in the 1st place Detective Byron Black who has been hot on her tail since her last heist went wrong.

Who will win the battle? Who will Lex go with at the end of the whole story? Also what has Sapphire go to do with the story? You HAVE to read this exciting and riveting start of a series that will truly have you guessing all the way through.

She will never let Winston own her soul and no matter what extreme he takes to break her, he will never have the one thing that belongs to Roman, her heart.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is the final installment of the Last Chance series. What a way to finish the series.

Laine (Allanah) has been under Winston's command since we started this series. He's drugged her enough to make her lose her memories, but at what cost does he go to get rid of her? Roman is searching for Laine, he's desperate to get her back, what will it cost him to get her back and will she ever remember him? Martin is trying to help, but his feelings for Laine is getting in the way of his friendship with Roman. Can they ever work together? Who is Brian and what is his connection with Winston and Stuart? Will Laine and Roman ever be together or will Winston, Stuart and Brian win once again?

Fallen Angel, Part 5: Fallen Angel Series - A Mafia Romance by Tracie Podger

I figli devono pagare per le colpe dei padri
(Children must pay for the sins of the fathers)

Robert Stone has an identity. After discovering his father, a far greater dynasty was forged.
But with this dynasty comes new enemies.
From the olive groves of Italy to the boardrooms in Washington, D.C., Robert is to command a business like no other.
Not all wars are fought on a battlefield, most are won in the corporate arena.
Not all wars are bloody – unless you threaten Robert’s family, of course.
Told from Robert Stone and Rocco Sartorri’s point of view, Fallen Angel, Part 5 picks up from the end of Part 4 and explores a unique relationship.
Two powerful men, both with secrets and enemies, come together in this explosive story of revenge, lost love, and hate that spans thirty years.

A Mafia romantic suspense for readers over the age of 18

I would like to thank Tracie Podger for writing a brilliant installment to Fallen Angel.

Robert Stone has just found the father he never thought he had. Rocco Sartorri has just met his son for the 1st time in years. What happens when these 2 meet up and work together?

Well, when we thought Fallen Angel 4 was the last installment, Tracie Podger seems to throw a spanner in the works with this installment. In this installment it's based on Robert and Rocco's accounts of their lives. The past 30 years for Rocco and the now with Robert. We see Evelyn and Rocco come back together again, we see what Father and Son can really achieve together and we see a family torn apart because of the family feuds of Italy and DC. Now I can't wait to see what happens in the next part of this Fallen Angel series.

Fallen Angel, Part 6: A Mafia Romance by Tracie Podger

Italy , the mistress that Brooke can no longer compete with was consuming her husband. He changed when he was there, and she wasn't sure the Band Aid she’s placed over their fractures was man enough to hold.

There was something about Italy that was both loved and hated for very different reasons by Brooke and Robert Stone. For Robert, Italy was in his blood, she ran through his genes, tantalising, calling to him constantly.

After a month apart, Brooke and Robert are reunited and it isn’t all smooth sailing.

Devastation, pain, and more hurt than the couple could ever imagine is to be endured, but can they walk hand-in-hand from it this time?

Does Italy and the change in Robert become too much for Brooke to cope with?

A continuation of the Fallen Angel series and for readers over the age of 18.

I would like to thank Tracie Podger for another enthralling part of the Mafia Romance that is Fallen Angel.

It's been a few months since Robert was arrested, Brooke has no idea where he is, til he tells her he's in Italy. She don't know what to say to him other than hurtful words. Then Gerry and her go to see him, tries to spend family time together to get back on track, but Robert's other family life (his Italian side) are taking him away. What happens when they find a woman at the place that Robert has bought? Who is she? What & who is she hiding from and can Robert & Travis help her and sort out the other problem that is haunting BOTH the men? What happens when Robert can't keep a lid on his emotions? What happens to Travis and what is his connection with the new woman in his life? Can Brooke and Robert ever salvage their marriage or has Robert lost everything? All will be revealed when you read the next installment of Fallen Angel.

*I found this installment to be funny at parts, laughed a bit (when needed), cringeworthy (at what Robert and Travis remember). But most of all I loved how the characters was all there for each other at their hour of need. Can't wait to see if Tracie Podger does anything more with the story and other characters.
