NOT AGAIN (Standalone sequel to 'Moment of Impact') by Rene D. Schultz
Austin is struggling with the death of his fiancĂ©. Kelzi lost her husband to the war in Iraq and is destitute, withdrawn and living in a shelter with her four-year-old son. They are both traveling down the road of self-destruction, until ‘fate' and 'letting go of the past’ collide. Will Austin be able to let go of his past? Will Kelzi learn to trust again?
A riveting exploration of love lost and found. NOT AGAIN is the poignant story of a young man who must confront his past, so that he can believe in the chance for a new beginning.
I've been reading this author's books for many years and they still get me in the heart. A great read and sopping tissues during the book.
This I think is best to be read after reading Moment of Impact (to give you an insight to Austin's past about Harper and how he has digested the horror in him losing her).
Kelzi has lost her husband, her home and most of all her life as she knew it. She has a gorgeous little boy who is the light of her life. Without him, her life isn't worth living. One Thursday Kelzi and Austin meet at a group therapy and where their lives entwine from that moment anything can happen.
I loved this book as it showed what human compassion and honesty does for group therapy and if 2 strangers can help heal each other.

Only The Innocent - Rachel Abbott
An Amazon Number One Bestseller
A man is dead. The killer is a woman. But what secrets lie beneath the surface - so dark that a man has to die?
Women are rarely cold blooded killers. But when famous philanthropist Hugo Fletcher is found dead, there is no doubt in anybody's mind that the killer is a woman. And it is clear from the precision of the planning that this was no crime of passion. It was an execution.
The victim was revered the world over for his charitable work with trafficked Eastern European prostitutes, and as at least one of these girls is missing, Detective Chief Inspector Tom Douglas is certain that there has to be a connection.
But nothing is as it appears on the surface. A web of complex relationships is gradually revealed and it seems that everybody has something to hide. As each horrific secret is exposed, Tom Douglas begins to realise that this is much more than a simple murder case. And he has a terrible dilemma to face - whether to punish the guilty, or protect the innocent.
I've had this book on my kindle for nearly 6 years. I've heard great things of this author, so started this book.
OMG the storyline is compelling and knowing it goes on behind closed doors still. Who killed Hugo Fletcher? What has the prostitutes got to do with his murder? All will be revealed in Only The Innocent.

The Girl at the End of the Road by K.A. Hitchins
A man loses everything he values in life. He will have to return to the past if he wants to discover his future.
Vincent Stevens is moving back home after losing everything in the economic downturn – high-flying city job, swanky flat and trophy girlfriend. The small Suffolk village of his birth is no more exciting than he remembers. He wants his old life back, at any cost. First he must disentangle himself from family obligations and the strange friendship he has struck up with the enigmatic Sarah, a girl from his past and the antithesis of everything he most admires. A shocking discovery forces him to make the biggest decision of his life. Will he return to a world defined by winners and losers, or will he choose love?
I was offered this book in return for a review. I would like to thank the author for allowing me to read this book.
I found it quite hard going as it took me a bit of time to get into the book. I wasn't sure what I was expecting to read and find out about in the book. I've never read anything from the author before.
You'd be mistaken it was a love story between 2 people. A man down on his luck (having lost his job, girlfriend and home), to moving back to his parents in Elmsford. He meets an old school friend who works as a librarian.
He finds out more about himself as he and his friend get to know each other. It also covers a slight part of Autism and driving lessons.

Cold Mourning (Stonechild and Rouleau Mystery #1) by Brenda Chapman
Nominated for the 2015 Arthur Ellis Award for Best Novel
When murder stalks a family over Christmas, Kala Stonechild trusts her intuition to get results.
It’s a week before Christmas when wealthy businessman Tom Underwood disappears into thin air — with more than enough people wanting him dead.
New police recruit Kala Stonechild, who has left her northern Ontario detachment to join a specialized Ottawa crime unit, is tasked with returning Underwood home in time for the holidays. Stonechild, who is from a First Nations reserve, is a lone wolf who is used to surviving on her wits. Her new boss, Detective Jacques Rouleau, has his hands full controlling her, his team, and an investigation that keeps threatening to go off track.
Old betrayals and complicated family relationships brutally collide when love turns to hate and murder stalks a family.
I would like to thank Netgalley for allowing me a copy of this wonderful 1st book in the Stonechild & Rouleau series.
When I first started reading this a couple of days ago. I found it to be quite weird to know why Lily & Sunny was being introduced to the story. Thinking that the rest of the story would go on looking for them in the case that they were either missing or murdered, I carried on reading.
Thinking that Tom Underwood's disappearance had something to do with the 2 girls at the beginning made me carry on reading. Then it drew me in further to know whether or not they were to do with his disappearance. I guessed something was up about the girls as it got closer to the end of the book (I was right on 1 thing and wrong on other aspects). But I loved the way it made me carry on reading through the story.
This won't be the last book I read of Brenda Chapman's Stonechild and Rouleau series as I found the characters to be kind and simple (well most of them anyway lol).

The TROUBLE with BILLIONAIRES: Book 3 by Kristina Blake
Ever since I saw his first movie, I’ve lusted after sexy heart-throb, Logan Mitchell. Imagine my surprise when Logan is stricken with a drug-induced seizure, and I’m left alone to make sure that the man who makes my pulse race is going to be okay.
The “zing” of attraction that I feel for him is undeniable, and my gut tells me he feels the same way. If only he would let his wall down enough to let me in—permanently.
My heart tells me that this is the man of my dreams. Yet, my head is plagued with doubt. After all, he seems to have a deep, intimate connection with my best friend, Madison. Is it more than a friendship between them, and what secrets do they share?
Can this gorgeous movie star ever transition from a fantasy to a reality for me? Or will I end up with a broken heart and a broken friendship?
The final book in the series of The Trouble with Billionaires.
This ends up tying the loose ends of what all 3 men and their love interests are about. You meet Madison who is in love with Rawn Jackman who is her boss's boss and also a man with secrets as well as Madison, Mellisa who is in love with Conrad Goldstein who's ex wife has a medical condition and is the PR guru for the company as well as Mellisa is hiding from someone (and if they find her, her real identity will tear her apart) and finally Annie who's madly in love with Logan Mitchell who's a film star and is hiding a secret only Madison knows. What makes it more interesting is that someone is out to hurt Rawn Jackman by the only way necessary. Through Madison Miller and they will do ANYTHING to get to him.
Read this installments of The Trouble with Billionaires to find out if they find the culprit. Did Logan tell Annie his secret? Did Conrad find out who Mellisa is really? What is Madison originally hiding and has it anything to do with Rawn Jackman's situation????

The TROUBLE with BILLIONAIRES: Book 2 by Kristina Blake
Tragedy…it’s what I know.
I have spent years moving from city to city, avoiding personal connections, and simply trying to stay alive. The plan has always been the same: keep a low profile until they find me, then—once they do—move again.
When someone kidnapped my friend and co-worker, Madison Miller, it quickly became clear that it was a case of mistaken identity—because I was the person they really wanted.
Unfortunately, the person assigned to protect me also knows about my past life. Spending time with the sexy billionaire, Conrad Goldstein, may prove to be more than my head and my heart can handle.
Can I trust him with my heart and my life? Or will I end up losing both?
I gave this a 4 star as the story carried on from where book 1 left off. Wasn't overly excited with the storyline going in between Madison and Mellisa. Sometimes it got confusing why the story was going in between once Madison's part was dealt with. I think it would of been ideal to get background information on the characters to what the story was about.
I think the 2 other Billionaires stories (background) would of been ideal as well once they start explaining stuff to their love interest. But otherwise a good story.

The TROUBLE With BILLIONAIRES: Book 1 by Kristina Blake
You can do this, I told myself.
“So you're a Taurus? Does that mean you're hung like a bull?”
“What makes you think I'm a Taurus?” he asked smoothly.
“Your muscles, they're practically ripping through your suit. And the power in the way you walk. You're a big, bad bull. And I'm in need of a ride.”
He laughed, but it wasn't giddy. It was deep and sophisticated, like him. “And what are you?”
“Everything you have ever dreamed of.”
With the last of my courage, I looked him straight in his eyes, full of intent. “Meet me at the sundial at midnight tonight. I want to fuck you underneath the stars,”
Don't get me wrong. I’ve always played by the rules — like any good girl should — graduating from college early and landing my dream job.
One night of passion under the stars, with a complete stranger, was my idea of a perfect carefree ending before I focus all my time and energy into my career.
Only that’s not how things went.
That Taurus in the park? He turned out to be a jackass. Because no decent man will give a woman the most incredible sex in her life then leave her - blindfolded, naked and lost in the woods in the middle of the night!
Oh, and it doesn't end there. That jackass ended up being my boss, Rawn Jackman.
I started reading this on iBooks and felt that I needed this on my Kindle. So I downloaded all 3 in the series.
It starts off slow and you wonder why Madison is interested in this bloke. It becomes clear as the story carries on what is the relationship between Rawn Jackman and Madison Miller. The sex parts aren't that explicit but the story is quite good.

Fallen Angel, Part 4: Fallen Angel Series - A Mafia Romance by Tracie Podger
It was in a small room in a hotel in Washington, DC, that Brooke Stone’s life changed forever—again.
***
Life had been peaceful, as peaceful as being a member of one of the most powerful crime families in America could be.
But life has a habit of throwing a curve ball, a curve ball so fast and so wide it knocks everyone from their feet.
From the streets of DC to the hills of Tuscany, from death to the utmost joy – Join Brooke for the final chapter in the Fallen Angel series and witness the birth of a new crime dynasty.
This is a story of discovery, of finding a past, of heartache and the greatest of love.
‘I’ve seen death and I’ve faced my worst fears – I survived.’
A Mafia Romance
Contemporary romance for readers over the age of 18 years.
This is the final installment of this wonderful series.
Find out what happens with Travis, Robert, Evelyn, Brooke and the gang. An explosion of a story to end the most explosive series I've read in a long time.
I hope Tracie Podger does more in this series to see what happens with the Fallen Angel gang (That's what I am calling them).
Fallen Angel, Part 3 - A Mafia Romance (Fallen Angel #3) by Tracie Podger
Being married to the dark and dangerous Robert Stone doesn’t come without its problems - trust being one of them.
Trusting your average husband means you believe he won’t cheat on you. Trusting a man like Robert is accepting that he will kill to protect his family.
Brooke loves her husband - mind, body, and soul - she will do whatever is necessary to protect that love.
But what happens when Robert discovers he wants something Brooke can’t give him?
This is a story of an extraordinary couple who find the strength to become the people they want to be.
But can they have it all?
Fallen Angel, Part 3 part of the Amazon best selling Fallen Angel Series - A Mafia romance.
Contemporary romance for readers over the age of 18, contains graphic scenes of sex.
So what is the Fallen Angel series...
This is a mafia 'romance', with the emphasis on the romance. The four books are narrated by Brooke, a British woman who travels to Washington, DC, and falls in love. This is her story, her journey into a world she has only ever seen in a movie.
As is traditional, Brooke will be shielded from any 'mafia' activity, she won't know what's going on, what she finds out will be a surprise. Please don't go into this book expecting a gun-slinging mafia moll from the 1950's :)
This is a modern take on what the mafia are now, in the twenty-first century. There is a reason for the title, you'll discover this throughout the books.
There are four books in this story so, no, you won't know it all in book one.
I wanted to explore what it would be like for me, or you, to fall into a world we have no knowledge of. It's my belief that perhaps, we as British women, wouldn't take it seriously, perhaps we'd find it exciting. Our major reference into that world is a movie made a lot of years ago :)
I hope you enjoy the read.
This book is not paranormal, has nothing to do with angels, fallen or otherwise.
Well what can I say about this part of the series. It had me in tears of laughter, pain, suffering for the characters.
A woman takes on a family with a history of crime, but not the way you think. You have to read this book to understand a family in turmoil.

Fallen Angel, Part 2 - A Mafia Romance (Fallen Angel #2) by Tracie Podger
When Brooke Stiles had said, “It was in a small room in an office block in Washington, DC, that my life changed, forever,” she had no idea of the enormity of that statement.
Just a few short months ago, Brooke, had lived a quiet suburban life in the UK. She now owns a closet of clothes she could only dream about and has been swept off her feet by trouble with a capital T.
Once Robert Stone came to terms with the fact that he was in love with Brooke, he knew he could never let her go. Not letting her go means introducing her to his life, past and present.
However, when Robert’s past and present collide, Brooke does the one thing that Robert begs her not to. Does it change her? Has that light that he sees in her eyes been extinguished?
This is a story of an ordinary girl who finds the strength to become the extraordinary woman, and keeps her promise to the man she owes her existence to.
Fallen Angel, Part 2 - A Mafia romance - contemporary romance for readers over the age of 18. Contains graphic scenes of sex.

Part 2 of this delicious, enticing and down right riveting series.
An english woman in the US, madly in love with an American man who looks and acts like an Italian. Two souls meet and collide with fierce love and companionship. A woman bought into a family of secrets and lies. When she finally finds out what her man is all about, will she run or will she stay & stand by him through it all? Will they get married? What happens to the children in the care home? Who is this mysterious woman Travis is dating? Is she a threat to the family? All will be revealed when you read Fallen Angel, Part 2 - A Mafia Romance.
It's not what you think when you think Mafia. Make no mistake this is not paranormal fiction, this is a hot stud Alpha Male and fiesty English woman who wields power over a man who will crumble to his knees at her feet.

This book is not paranormal, has nothing to do with angels, fallen or otherwise.
This is my 2nd book I've read of Tracie Podger's in 2 days. To say her books are marvellous and addictive doesn't quite cut it for me lol.
I love a bad boy as the next woman or man (depends on what your preference is). BUT OMG was I ready to meet Mr Robert Stone himself in this 1st book of a series. Brooke Stiles isn't a woman to mess with neither. She's a feisty woman with a mind of her own.
A feisty woman meets a man who is feisty, dependable and damn right sexy. She fights tooth and nail to unearth the secrets behind Mr Robert Stone's demeanor without asking so many questions. Is this a Mafia type book, OH NO it's damn right sexy, ruthless and heart-stopping for you. A British woman meets American drop dead gorgeous man with a secret and a history that he will do ANYTHING to hide from a woman who he thinks will hurt him like hell.
Can't wait to read the next installment to see what these characters get up to next. JOIN ME IF YOU DARE for Fallen Angel, Part 2 ;)

The Facilitator by Tracie Podger
It started as a game.
Two adults, both lonely; one an expert, the other learning on the quick.
He thought he was giving her what she desired. She hated herself for loving it.
Lauren Perry thought her life was fine. She knew what she wanted and where she was going. That was until her husband left her.
Mackenzie Miller thought his life was fine. He knew what he wanted and he took, always. That was until he broke his own rules.
What would you do if someone gave you the opportunity to experience all of your fantasies?
Lauren Perry decided to find that out.
Contemporary erotic romance for readers over the age of 18
Contains scenes of F/F, M/M/F & light BDSM
Well I can honestly say I have NO words to this book lol. Talk about rollercoaster of a ride. I have been thrown into turmoil through emotional heartache and tears (laughter and pain).
Lauren Perry is a lovely woman with a soon to be ex husband (who I despise - the ex husband), Jerry who is her best friend and her boss (who I adore) and gorgeous sexy Mackenzie Miller (to die for ladies).
A book in my opinion that is a mix between 50 Shades of Grey series (the storyline) and The Fetish Box/The Fetish Queen/The Dining Club (the BDSM erotic side). It took me to places where I've been in books and further afield in emotional state.
I WOULD definitely recommend this book to any Erotic readers whether your curious or a lover of these kind of books. Can't wait to see what else Ms Podger has in store for Mr Mackenzie Miller and Miss Lauren Perry in the next book.

£6.19 per Witching Hour (Paranormal Personnel Saga #1) by Joanna Mazurkiewicz
Julia Taylor works as a recruitment consultant for Paranormal Personnel in London. Her days at work seem normal. She sees clients that regularly are looking for work; she searches for new vacancies, updates CVs and visits employers.
Everything is pretty ordinary for her, apart from the fact that Julia is half elf and Paranormal Personnel is not an ordinary recruitment agency at all because all jobless supernatural creatures come to the agency to look for work. Fairies, vampires, witches, hags, wizards, mermaids, elves, giants and trolls, they all need to find employment, and during this economic climate, this seems pretty challenging.
Julia doesn’t want her life to be complicated, but when her day is interrupted by the shapeshifter with the chain saw, she just has to deal with him as she always does. She is normally calm, confident and is not afraid to stand up for herself, but when the meeting with Nathaniel’s Corporation goes not as well as she had hoped, she wants to bury herself under the ground and die.
Then, to make matters worse, Mr. La Caz gets under her skin, lighting up a fire inside her. She accidentally reads his thoughts and learns that he craves her; he wants to suck her dry, but she is convinced that he is not even a vampire.
I've had this book for a while and thought I'd see what it was about. In my opinion there was spelling mistakes and stuff that never made sense in the sentences that was being written.
Overall storyline was ok. Julia Taylor is a half Elf, Nathaniel La Caz is a drop dead gorgeous Dhampir (a half vampire). Julia works for Paranormal Personnel (a Personnel Agency in Croydon, even though they have branches in other places). Someone is stealing the fairies and elves, 1 of the elves that are missing is Claudia (Julia's cousin). Watch the sparks fly when Julia gets a contract from La Caz and the affair takes off. You won't be disappointed if this is the kind of book you want to read.

The Mountain in My Shoe by Louise Beech
A missing boy. A missing book. A missing husband. A woman who must find them all to find herself. On the night Bernadette finally has the courage to tell her domineering husband that she’s leaving, he doesn’t come home. Neither does Conor, the little boy she’s befriended for the past five years. Also missing is his lifebook, the only thing that holds the answers. With the help of Conor’s foster mum, Bernadette must face her own past, her husband’s secrets and a future she never dared imagine in order to find them all. Exquisitely written and deeply touching, The Mountain in My Shoe is both a gripping psychological thriller and a powerful and emotive examination of the meaning of family … and just how far we’re willing to go for the people we love.
I would like to thank Louise Beech for writing this story and also to Sumaira Wilson for recommending this to me.
I've never read anything by this author before, so it was nice that when my friend suggested I read it, I bought it. It starts off with a book for a little boy called Conor, it follows his life through this book and introduces you to all sorts of different characters. A woman who is his friend and her husband who is missing. His mother and her problems. A BOOK that tells all about a young boy.
You will want to read this book that is heart-wrenching at parts, makes you think you know what was going on, but has that twist to show you that you REALLY didn't know what was coming. A book about life in system and what it means for a Man, Boy, Book and WHAT 1 woman has that can bring it all together.

Dead End (DI Geraldine Steel #3) by Leigh Russell
Another thrilling case featuring Detective Inspector Geraldine Steel
When the corpse of Abigail Kirby is discovered, police are shocked to learn that the victim's tongue was cut out while she lay dying. Then, shortly after coming forward, a witness is blinded and murdered. Meanwhile, Detective Inspector Geraldine Steel's work life helps her cope with the personal, as her flirtation with the pathologist on the case is helping her to deal with the the newest shock in her life—finding out she was adopted at birth. When Detective Sergeant Ian Peterson uncovers a shocking secret about the serial killer they are pursuing, will the discovery come soon enough to save Geraldine Steel from a similar dreadful fate?
I would like to thank the author for writing this book. I've read the previous 2 in the series quite a while ago and I've had this and the next in the series on my Amazon library since December 2011.
When I started reading this, I automatically guessed who the murderer was, but carried on with the book as it was interesting to see how DI Geraldine Steel & DS Ian Peterson would catch the killer. Who is murdering a teacher for her tongue and who would want to kill a 17 year old boy. What did DS Peterson find that could put DI Steel into harm's way. All will be revealed in this brilliant installment of Dead End.

I've been meaning to read this author for a while and thought today was a good day to read this book.
I like psychological thrillers with a twist and this book was no different. I hated certain characters, wanted to scream at the main character sometimes, but the twist I NEVER saw coming and boy did it change the whole book.
If you LOVE twisty, dark, psychological thrillers. Then you HAVE to read The Lion, The Lamb, The Hunted by this author. It will leave you wanting to read more by him.

3500: An Autistic Boy's Ten-Year Romance with Snow White by Ron Miles
Benjamin, a nine-year-old autistic boy with a love of Disney, was taking his first trip to Walt Disney World. The last thing his parents expected was to see him come alive.
What followed was a remarkable tale of inspiration, heartbreak, dedication and joy as Benjamin's family relocated from Seattle to Orlando in order to capture that magic and put it to practical use. Amidst the daily challenges of life for an autistic child, Benjamin's passion for one particular theme park attraction would lead his family on a breathtaking journey of hope and discovery.
How many rides does it take for an ending to become a new beginning?
I would like to thank the author for writing a book about his autistic son and his love for Snow White.
It was a very interesting and lovely read. The way he wrote about the adventures he took with his son at the Disneyland ride. Anyone who's got a child (who's special needs) will totally get where this author/father is coming from.

White Is the Coldest Colour (Dr David Galbraith #1) by John Nicholl
The chilling, dark psychological suspense thriller from ex police officer and child protection social worker, John Nicholl.
Be careful who you trust...
The Mailer family are oblivious to the terrible danger that enters their lives when seven-year-old Anthony is referred to the child guidance service by the family GP following the breakdown of his parents' marriage.
Fifty-eight year old Dr David Galbraith, a sadistic predatory paedophile employed as a consultant child psychiatrist, has already murdered one child in the soundproofed cellar below the South Wales Georgian town-house he shares with his wife and two young daughters.
Anthony becomes Galbraith’s latest obsession, and he will stop at nothing to make his grotesque fantasies reality.
The novel is entirely fictional, but draws on John Nicholl's experiences as a police officer, child protection social worker, manager and trainer.
During his career the author was faced with case after case that left him incredulous as to the harm sexual predators chose to inflict on their victims. The book reflects that reality.
The story is set in 1992, a more naive time when many found it extremely difficult to believe that a significant number of adults posed a serious risk to children.
The book contains material some may find upsetting from the start.
It is dedicated to survivors everywhere.
The gripping sequel: 'When evil calls your name' is now available on Amazon.
I had been warned to read this as a fictional book, but it's very hard to read with the subject matter so much in the news lately. I had to read/listen to this in 2 parts as I felt that I couldn't of done it in 1 go.
The story is very well informed to do with the subject as the author is a ex police officer & ex social worker. I've given it a 4 star due to the nature of the subject as I found it hard going at times. I was even frustrated at the characters as you can see it through your mind's eye and want to scream at the characters to pay attention. A good thriller if you look kind of beyond the subject matter.

I Wore Heels to the Apocalypse by C H Clepitt
Is anyone truly prepared for the apocalypse?
Well, Kerry certainly isn’t, and she fairly quickly discovers that looking sharp in a business suit and heels is not going to help anyone when there’s an apocalypse, with possible zombies!
Together with a super spy, an ex girl guide and a personal trainer with manly foraging skills, Kerry must battle terrifying religious cults, rich people and her personal demons, all whilst having the daily chore of deciding what to wear.
This is a laugh out loud comedy with romance, heart and talking badgers, and is not to be missed.
What would you wear to the apocalypse? #IWoreHeels
I picked up this book as it was part of a challenge I am doing. It was suggested by the author as well.
I'm not sure what I think of it really as it was funny in parts and some times it was like where is this going. Was a quick read (would of read it quicker had life not got in the way lol).
What would you wear if the end of the world all of a sudden happened? Well I Wore Heels to the Apocalpyse is 1 woman's story to what she thought happened.

600 Hours of Edward (Edward #1) by Craig Lancaster
A thirty-nine-year-old with Asperger’s syndrome and obsessive-compulsive disorder, Edward Stanton lives alone on a rigid schedule in the Montana town where he grew up. His carefully constructed routine includes tracking his most common waking time (7:38 a.m.), refusing to start his therapy sessions even a minute before the appointed hour (10:00 a.m.), and watching one episode of the 1960s cop show Dragnet each night (10:00 p.m.).
But when a single mother and her nine-year-old son move in across the street, Edward’s timetable comes undone. Over the course of a momentous 600 hours, he opens up to his new neighbors and confronts old grievances with his estranged parents. Exposed to both the joys and heartaches of friendship, Edward must ultimately decide whether to embrace the world outside his door or retreat to his solitary ways.
Heartfelt and hilarious, this moving novel will appeal to fans of Daniel Keyes’s classic Flowers for Algernon and to any reader who loves an underdog.
I had chosen this book for a challenge. It has been told to me that this is a great book and I should read it (even though I've never read Flowers For Algernon before).
I have a daughter who has autism, which is why this draws me to this book at this time as I've also watched programmes to do with special needs people. I have laughed at parts of the book and also hated his father at times for what he has put his son Edward through. I would love to read more of the author's books over the next few months. I also loved where Edward stands up for himself against his father and things in general.
