From Ashes To Flames (West Brothers #1) by A.M. Hargrove

This is a stand alone contemporary romance novel from the author of For The Love of English

I had it all—the dream job, a wonderful boyfriend, a fabulous life.
Or that’s what I thought.
Then my life took an unexpected turn and I found myself working as a nanny for the hot-tempered Dr. West.
He and his regimented spreadsheets and rude attitude were more than anyone should have to take.
If that jerkface thought he could order me around, he’d better think again.
Then one day I discovered his secrets, which explained why he acted the way he did.
I never expected my heart to soften towards him so much.
I never expected to have such sexy dreams about him.
Nor did I expect to want him the way I did.
But he was my boss, older than me, and off-limits.
And if I wasn’t careful, everything, including my heart, would go up in flames.

I would like to thank A.M. Hargrove for writing a brilliant and sexy start to a series I hope she will carry on writing.

Marin is woman who had it all, till she took a job as a nanny for the sexy and hot Dr Grey West. Grey is a brilliant heart doctor, but with 2 kids in tow and heartache. Can Marin and Grey co-exist and see their way through the love and fire or will their relationship be doomed forever.

I have read Ms Hargrove's previous books in the past, so I know her writing and her concepts always make me want to read more. When she writes more in this series (which I hope she does), I will definitely be reading them.

Watching You by Lynda Renham

Ewan Galbreith is out of prison.

Libby Owen is scared.

Fifteen years earlier she saw Ewan murder her aunt and uncle with their own shotgun, and now he’s coming for her.

I would like to thank Lynda Renham for this wonderful and page twisting book.

This started off really good and I wondered what they was going to do with going back and forth with the story. Libby is really scared of Ewan Galbreith. The way Lynda makes the story unfold and the twists within the book. It made you think of so many different characters (if they killed Libby's aunt and uncle). But you NEVER see it coming to who really killed them. I was shocked that the killer was revealed so late in the book that it turned my thoughts upside down lol.

Definitely would recommend this book and will definitely be reading more from Lynda Renham in the future.

The Wedding Date by Zara Stoneley

One ex.
One wedding.
One little white lie.

When Samantha Jenkins is asked to be the maid of honour at her best friend’s wedding, she couldn’t be happier. There are just three problems…

1) Sam’s ex-boyfriend, Liam, will be the best man.
2) His new girlfriend is pregnant.
3) Sam might have told people she has a new man when she doesn’t (see points 1 and 2 above)

So, Sam does the only sensible thing available to her… and hires a professional to do the job.

Actor Jake Porter is perfect for the role: single, gorgeous and cheap! Sam is certain it’s the perfect solution: no strings, no heartbreak and hopefully no chance of being found out.

But spending a week in the Scottish Highlands with Jake is harder than she imagined. He is the perfect boyfriend, charming, sexy and the hottest thing in a kilt since Outlander! And his dog Harry is quite possibly the cutest things Sam has ever seen!

As the wedding draws closer, Jake plays his part to perfection and everyone believes he is madly in love with Sam. The problem is, Sam’s not sure if Jake is acting anymore…

I would like to thank Netgalley and Zara Stoneley for writing a brilliant and at times funny novel.

I wasn't sure I would get into this story as it's not exactly my usual genre. But as I needed a funny story, I chose this as it looked good through the cover as well as the way the characters was portrayed. Sam is a funny woman who has 3 problems at a wedding. 1. Her ex boyfriend Liam is going to be Best Man at the wedding. 2. Liam's new girlfriend is pregnant. 3. Sam has kinda told everyone that she has a new man in her life but she hasn't. So what do you do when you have promised your best friend to be her Maid Of Honour. You hire someone who is gorgeous, sexy and really cheap - in walks Jake Porter.

The antics that this book brings between Sam and Jake as well as all the other characters are brilliant. I would definitely read more by Zara Stoneley in the future.

Baked with Love: The hotly awaited sequel to The Girl I Was Before (Lily McDermott Series Book 2) by Izzy Bayliss

Lily McDermott is back!
The hotly awaited sequel to The Girl I Was Before

Everything is going great for Lily. She and Sam are more in love than ever and she is about to open her very own bakery but she soon discovers that no matter how much time you spend perfecting delicate pastries, running your own business isn’t always easy. When Sam announces he has to move to New York for work, Lily is miserable but when he surprises her with a proposal life is perfect, right?
But Lily finds it hard to let go of old hurts and when Sam eventually loses patience, Lily is left devastated.
Can Lily finally learn to leave the past in the past or will she let it ruin the future for her?

"A perfect, heart-warming romance.”

I want to thank Izzy Bayliss for writing a superb sequel to The Girl I Was Before.

I found the sequel to be as good as the 1st book. It brought laughter and insight into brilliant characters. Lily now has her own bakery called Baked With Love. It starts off really slow (not the book the bakery lol) like all businesses, but she still has the awful and interferring ex husband Marc, her meddling sister Clara, her delightful father Hugh (who I adore), her best friend Frankie (who is a scream at the best of times) and Sam (who is so lush). More hilarious antics and things that Lily gets up to. She has some things going on and the poor woman never knows if she is coming or going lol.

Can't wait to see if Izzy Bayliss will do more for Lily McDermott and gang as we follow her life.

The Girl I Was Before: 'A Fun Feel Good Read' (Lily McDermott Series Book 1) by Izzy Bayliss

When Lily McDermott walks in to find Marc, her husband of just three months in bed with actress Nadia, life as she knows it is over. Lily thinks things can't get any worse when she sees photos of her husband and his new lover splashed across the glossy magazine pages, but when she loses her job too, she is at her lowest ebb and turns to baking to soothe her soul. Wounded and broken she has to try and pick herself up again with the help of her best friend Frankie and with her encouragement, Lily decides to turn her hobby into a business and sets up Baked With Love. However whatever Lily does, it seems disaster soon ensues and when handsome stranger Sam comes to her rescue, Lily isn't quite ready to turn her back on her marriage.
Can Lily risk opening her heart again or is she destined to allow Marc to shadow her life forever?

I have never read Izzy Bayliss books before, but somehow I felt like I was opening up a warm and comforting novel. Izzy gives the characters a kind of homely feel but with a bit of a disguise with the storyline.

Can't wait to read her next book and see what happens with Lily, Sam and Marc (the ex husband).

Haven (Rebecca Filmore Series, #1) by Victoria Taylor

Welcome to Haven; a community of families living together in isolation from the outside world. No-one is allowed into this alternative life- except perhaps the occasional teenage girl to bring in a new bloodline for their sons.

Becky, a private investigator and ex-police officer, struggles to come to terms with witnessing the death of a lady on her morning run. With her last breath, she tells Becky that her daughter has been taken. Haunted by the abduction of her childhood friend, Becky is determined to find Alison and put to rest past never solved.

I would like to thank Victoria Taylor for letting me read and review this wonderful and suspenseful book.

A woman who's friend has gone missing years ago, a mother who was murdered whilst trying to save her daughter before she was abducted. Becky is now a PI and has been having nightmares from years ago. Could she have saved her best friend all those years ago and can she save a young girl taken by the same person? She is thrown back into nightmares whilst she is trying to save Alison. There is also family problems to do with her best friend. Can she save Alison and find out what happened to her best friend? Only by reading this book will you find out the outcome.

I read this within 1 day and boy did it grab me as soon as I started reading this. I found it so compelling and I guessed something whilst reading the book, but was wrong on certain parts. I really liked the way the characters interact with each other and the suspense of what was about to happen. Can't wait to read more by Victoria Taylor in the near future.

For heartbroken Livvy Hayes the world went dark two years ago when tragedy struck.

With her life in tatters, she flees to California where an unexpected meeting brings handsome businessman Gabe Mitchell into her life.

Gabe loves a challenge and Livvy is his newest endeavor. Her broken spirit calls to him, begging to be healed. And who knows, she might be the one to heal him too.

Can he persuade her to take a chance on him—and convince her that, together, they have a future?

Or will fate intervene and destroy them both?

My Gift To You is a heartfelt and powerfully touching stand-alone novel. Grab your copy now.

I would like to thank Tracie Delaney for writing such a poignant and heartfelt and had me in tears I can tell you story.

Livvy Hayes is a woman with loads of tragedy in her life. Whilst sitting in a cafe along comes Gabe Mitchell. A suave and sure of himself kinda guy. But he's got problems as well. Can these 2 lovely and lonely people help each other to heal or will the tragedies that they have both suffered rip them apart? You need to read My Gift To You and find out what happens.

I laughed and cried at this book. I actually read this book within a day. I loved the way the characters built the trust, the way they try and sort things out. But when you get to the end, you just get hit with this wave of emotions and OMG is it worth reading to find out the ending.
